ANTONIA CHEN, MD

Antonia F. Chen MD/MBA is currently an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, the Chief of Arthroplasty and Joint Reconstruction, and the Chief of Arthroplasty and Adult Reconstruction. She was previously the Director of Arthroplasty Research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She was the Associate Director of Research at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, an Associate Professor at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, and the Director of Medical Education Curriculum, Musculoskeletal Studies at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College and Thomas Jefferson University. She received her BS from Yale University and her MD from Rutgers Medical School, where she graduated with Distinction in Research and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Antonia received her MBA from Rutgers Business School and is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. She completed her orthopaedic residency at the University of Pittsburgh and her fellowship in hip and knee arthroplasty at the Rothman Institute. She is a member of the Knee Society, and the first female surgeon in the Hip Society. She is on the editorial board of 8 journals, and was president of the Musculoskeletal Infection Society. She has authored over 350 publications, 45 book chapters, and 4 books, has won multiple research awards, and has presented all over the world.


BHARAT DESAI, MD

Bharat M. Desai, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in musculoskeletal trauma and foot and ankle. He graduated from Swarthmore College and then earned his medical degree from Temple University in 1990. Having a special interest in orthopedic trauma, he completed a trauma fellowship program at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He joined Centura Health in August 1996. His current interests are pelvis and acetabular fractures, complex intraarticular fractures and complex foot and ankle disorders. In conjunction with Dr. Lammens, Dr. Desai specializes in malunions, non-unions and traumatic reconstructions.


MIHIR DESAI, MD

Dr. Mihir J. Desai, MD is a board-certified Orthopaedic hand, wrist, and elbow surgeon. He provides surgical and non-surgical care for all upper extremity problems including nerve problems, arthritis, and sports injuries. Dr. Desai takes Level 1 hand and upper extremity trauma calls at the regional hand trauma center. He routinely cares for athletes from weekend warriors to the professionals. Practicing in Nashville has afforded Dr. Desai the opportunity to care for world class musicians and artists. His care philosophy is centered around shared decision-making, and he takes the time to make sure his patients learn about their problem, so they can devise the treatment plan together.  Dr. Desai was raised in Roanoke, VA. He attended Davidson College and completed his medical school education at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency and Chief Residency at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Following his residency training, Dr. Desai completed a Hand, Upper Extremity, and Microvascular Fellowship at Duke University.  Upon completion of his training, Dr. Desai was recruited to join the faculty at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Director of the  Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship and the Medical Director of Vanderbilt Orthopaedics - Franklin. He is also the director of Tennessee’s only Adult Brachial Plexus and Complex Nerve Clinic.  When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Desai enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid ultra runner.


RACHEL FRANK, MD

Dr. Rachel Frank is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist who focuses on the surgical and non-surgical management of knee, shoulder, and elbow injuries. Dr. Frank has specialized training and technical expertise in the areas of advanced knee and shoulder arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, cartilage/meniscus restoration surgery, shoulder instability surgery, biologic treatments for musculoskeletal pathology, and care specific to the female athlete. Dr. Frank earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois while playing 4 years of Division I Soccer, and her medical degree (MD) at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. She then completed her Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the renowned Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL as well as a Sports Medicine and Shoulder Fellowship at Rush University Medical Center, where she assisted in taking care of the Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Fire Soccer Club, Chicago Steele (hockey), USA Rugby, and DePaul University. Following her Sports Medicine fellowship, Dr. Frank completed a Traveling Fellowship throughout Canada and Europe, developing additional expertise in the areas of complex shoulder reconstruction, knee joint preservation surgery, advanced ligament repair and reconstruction, and techniques in OrthoBiologics. Currently, Dr. Frank serves as an Assistant Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, is Director of the Joint Preservation Program at the University of Colorado, and is team physician for the Colorado Rapids professional soccer team. Dr. Frank has authored or co-authored over 250 peer-reviewed journal articles, over 50 book chapters, and presents her research both nationally and internationally at orthopaedic conferences and meetings every year. Her research has garnered dozens of prestigious national and international awards, including the prestigious AOSSM Bart Mann Award for the Advancement of Sports Medicine Research, as well as several competitive grants, including funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH)l the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) and the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF).


STEVEN L. HADDAD, MD

Steven L. Haddad, MD attended college at the University of Michigan, graduating in 1985 with a degree in Honors Biology.  He attended The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, followed by a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Georgetown University.   He completed a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery in 1996 at the Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Fellowship Director Mark S. Myerson, MD.  He is currently a senior attending physician with Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC, in Glenview, IL. He has received the James K. Stack Resident Teaching Award at Northwestern University in 2003.  He has also received the Roger Mann Award from the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society in 1996.  He has been named Best Lecturer for the Miller Orthopaedic Review Course four years in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2018.


JASON M. JENNINGS, MD

Dr. Jason Jennings is a graduate of University of South Florida College of Medicine.  He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Duke University Medical Center and a fellowship in adult reconstruction at Colorado Joint Replacement in Denver, CO where he is currently practicing.  He is the author of over 50 peer reviewed publications and book chapters on hip and knee arthroplasty and has been invited to speak nationally and internationally.


SANJ KAKAR, MD

Sanj Kakar, MD is Professor of Orthopaedics, past Vice Chair of the Clinical Practice within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Associate Medical Director for the Quality Academy at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. A graduate of St. Bartholomew’s and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry, he received his surgical training at University College London, The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and The Royal Free, before completing his Orthopaedic Residency at Boston University, Boston. After receiving his Master’s in Business Administration from Babson College, he completed his Hand Surgery fellowship at Mayo Clinic. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is a specialist in disorders of the hand and wrist, in particular, arthroscopy, complex wrist reconstruction, trauma and tumors of the upper extremity. He is a surgeon scientist in the fields of molecular biology and tissue engineering research specializing in the creation of “neoligaments” for wrist reconstruction, studying the role of 4 dimensional CT scanning on wrist kinematics and conducting molecular studies on the pathogenesis and treatment of Dupuytren’s disease and biology of fracture repair. Dr Kakar has authored over 170 peer reviewed scientific papers, 40 book chapters and co-editor of 3 books by the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.  He received the Marshall Urist Young Investigator award from the Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons, is a member of the Emerging Leaders Program, a North American Traveling Fellow and American British Canadian Fellow and Chairs the Traveling Fellowship Programs by the American Orthopaedic Association, an active member within the American Association of Hand Surgeons and was the Chairman of the Residents and Fellows meeting at the American Society of Surgery of The Hand in 2015, Sterling Bunnell Traveling Fellow 2017-2018 and a Member at Large on the Council for the American Society for Surgery of The Hand from 2017-2020. He currently serves as the Hand.e Editor for the American Society for Surgery of The Hand.


CHRISTOPHER J. KLECK, MD

Dr. Christopher J. Kleck is one of the newer members of five Orthopaedic Spine Surgeons in the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Colorado.  He trained at the University of Arizona and completed a fellowship in 2013 at The University of Colorado in Spine and completed a Traveling Fellowship in Lyon, France, prior to joining the University of Colorado Spine Division.  He has an interest in education at every level and was a high school teacher prior to entering the field of medicine.  He currently serves as the Spine Fellowship Co-Director, the Associate Residency Program Director as well as the Assistant Director for Medical Student Education.  In his spine practice, he and others engage in continuous evaluation of adult spinal deformity patients and their outcomes.  This ranges from the non-operative treatment to pre/post-operative planning and outcomes measures.  The practice is currently involved in several studies looking at global alignment, pelvic parameters, and the spine itself as well as techniques to allow for more precise implementation of surgical plans.  Dr. Kleck is a member of the following professional organizations:  American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), North American Spine Society (NASS), Colorado Orthopaedic Society, Clinical Orthopedics Society, International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery (ISASS), SICOT International, and Scoliosis Research Society (SRS).


EDWARD MCPHERSON, MD

Dr. Edward James McPherson is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and specializes in total knee arthroplasty and total hip arthroplasty using the minimally invasive technique. He has published numerous articles on his specialty interests and has authored chapters on periprosthetic joint infection and adult reconstruction in medical textbooks. He has also co-authored book chapters on short stem design in total hip arthroplasty and cemented total knee replacement. Dr. McPherson is also very active in research endeavors. He has served as a principal investigator or co-investigator on more than 20 studies, several of which are still in progress. He has been an invited lecturer to national and international medical conferences and symposia, speaking on his specialty interests, and has served as an invited delegate at the International Consensus Meeting on Musculoskeletal Infection. Dr. McPherson is a member of The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, The American College of Surgeons, The Musculoskeletal Infection Society, The Societe Internationale Chirgue and Orthopaedic Traumatologie (SICOT), The Charleston County Medical Society, and The Association of Military Surgeons of the United States.


DAVID OU-YANG, MD

Dr. Ou-Yang specializes in spinal surgery and complex spinal casesbased in Colorado with the University of Colorado Hospital . He received his education and training from University of Minnesota Medical Schooland BChE, University of Minnesota–Twin Cities. He did his residency program at University of Minnesota Medical School Program, Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Ou-Yang has recognitions and awards from Hyman Horwitz Scholarship, University of Minnesota, Dr. Samuel J Ravitch Scholarship, University of Minnesotaand Dr. Hulda Thelander Scholarship, University of Minnesota. He is a member of American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeonsand is a Assistant Professor at School of Medicine, Orthopedics. His philosophy of care is a commitment to my patients and their families to deliver care that is supported by the highest order of compassion, innovation, science, and technology. Hisinterests and expertise include spinal surgery and complex spinal cases.


MARC J. RICHARD, MD

Marc Richard, MD is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Duke University in the Division of Hand, Upper Extremity and Microvascular Surgery.  He is originally from Cumberland, Rhode Island and graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology.  He then attended the University of Vermont College of Medicine and performed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center.  After completing a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity surgery at Duke University, he joined the faculty in 2007. Dr. Richard’s clinical focus includes upper extremity trauma, comprehensive elbow care, and osteonecrosis of the femoral head in young patients.  His additional specific interests include elbow arthroplasty, elbow injuries in young throwing athletes, and peripheral nerve injuries.  He has served as the Co-Director of Upper Extremity Trauma at Duke.  He is also the Co-Director of the Free Vascularized Fibular Graft Program at Duke and contributes clinically to both the Trauma and Hip Preservation Divisions.  He is the Director of the Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship Program and is a past recipient of the Duke Orthopaedic Surgery Faculty Teaching Award.  Dr. Richard is also a Past-President of the North Carolina Society for Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Richard is married with two children.  He enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.


JOSHUA ROZELL, MD

Joshua Rozell is a board certifiedadult reconstructive orthopaedic surgeon and assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at NYU Langone Health. A New York native, he attended medical school at the Drexel University College of Medicine, residency at the University of Pennsylvania, and didan adult reconstructive fellowship at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado. While at NYU, he has been an active clinical researcher, faculty mentor, and serves as the arthroplasty site director and quality improvement chair at NYU Brooklyn. In 2021 he was named the William L. Jaffe teacher of the year by the NYU orthopaedic residency. He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, serving on Hip, Knee, and Adult Reconstruction evaluation committee. He enjoys spending time with his wife Amanda, and daughters Charlotte (6), and Remi (2) and is excited to be a part of the Miller Review team.


MATTHEW R. SCHMITZ, MD

Dr. Matthew R. Schmitz is a Colonel select in the United States Air Force.  He serves as Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at San Antonio Military Medical Center, the largest orthopaedics department in the Department of Defense.  He is also the Chief of Pediatric Orthopaedics/Adolescent Sports Medicine and Chief of the Young Adult Hip Preservation Service.  He graduated with honors from the US Air Force Academy and Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and was the recipient of Loyola’s Early Career Achievement Award.  Dr. Schmitz was a standout collegiate rugby player and played with the USA National Rugby Team while in medical school.  He is currently a team physician for USA Rugby and serves as a medical consultant for the newly formed professional rugby league in America, Major League Rugby.  Dr. Schmitz has an extensive academic medical background lecturing nationally on a variety of topics, publishing research, and is an Associate Professor at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences along with Baylor University.  He is a previous recipient of the SAMMC Orthopaedics teaching award and has been inducted in the Order of Military Medical Merit for his contributions to military medicine.


ADAM SEIDL, MD

Dr. Seidl is a fellowship-trained shoulder and elbow surgeon. He has been trained by and worked with world-renowned shoulder and elbow surgeons in the United States and France. As a Colorado native, Dr. Seidl is an active outdoorsman and enjoys fishing and skiing. Having been an athlete in college, Dr. Seidl has a keen interest in treating athletes, both competitive and recreational. Dr. Seidl’s clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of all shoulder and elbow problems. He has advanced training in arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery, joint replacement and fracture care. Dr. Seidl is dedicated to understanding the needs of his patients and determining the safest and most effective treatment for each individual.


ADAM SHIMER, MD

Dr. Adam L. Shimer is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Spine Surgery at the University of Virginia. He was also Fellowship Director for the Orthopaedic Surgery of the Spine Fellowship from 2013 – 2019. Additionally, Dr. Shimer is the Spine doctor for both University of Virginia and James Madison University Athletics. Dr. Shimer’s training started with college at UVA, followed by medical school at UVA and Orthopaedic Surgery residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He completed an Orthopaedic Research fellowship at UPMC focused on cellular- and gene-based therapy for intervertebral disc repair and regeneration. After his Orthopaedic Spine Fellowship at the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, he joined the UVA faculty in 2009. Dr. Shimer’s practice is focused on complete care of neoplastic, infectious, traumatic, degenerative, and deformity conditions of the spine. He has extensive experience and particular interest in treating complex cervical spine pathology. His research interests include value base spine care, patient reported outcome measurements, and complications of spinal surgery. Dr. Shimer is the Orthopaedic In-Patient Unit Medical Director. He is a member of the Cervical Spine Research Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, and the Virginia Orthopaedics Society


MICAH SINCLAIR, MD

Dr. Micah K. Sinclair attended Georgetown University for both her undergraduate degree in Chemistry and her Medical Degree. Dr. Sinclair believes strongly in the ideal of "Cura Personalis," which Georgetown University Medical School embodies.  It simply means "Care for the whole person."  She strives for this level of attention with her patients. After graduation from Medical School, Dr. Sinclair returned to the Midwest for her residency at Loyola University Medical Center in the Chicagoland area. Having been inspired by and fortunate to work with internationally recognized adult and pediatric hand surgeons, Drs. Terry Light, Randy Bindra and Michael Bednar, she chose to pursue hand surgery. She went on to a fellowship at the University of Utah, which allowed her to train in adult and pediatric hand surgery, with Drs. Douglas Hutchinson and Angela Wang. Because of her passion for teaching, she began her career at the University of Cincinnati, working with the residents in the Orthopaedic Surgery department and the Mary S. Stern Hand Surgery fellows. When the opportunity arose to move to her hometown of Kansas City, MO and combine her education, experience, and work interests, she returned to the City of Fountains in the Show Me State and transitioned into Pediatric Hand Surgery at Children's Mercy Hospital. Pediatric Hand Surgery at Children’s Mercy Hospital provided her with the challenging and creative opportunity to pursue hand surgery in children and adolescents, involving injuries and congenital hand and upper extremity differences, which she was passionate about during her training. She enjoys participating in research with residents and medical students and served as the director of the Summer Scholars program for medical student research. Additionally, she recognizes the importance of quality improvement and served as the Medical Director of Quality, Safety and Value for the department for 3 years. Nationally, she serves as the Government Affairs Committee Chair for the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and is committed to advocacy for her patients and colleagues. Finally, she is most passionate about improving care for patients through increasing the diversity of Orthopaedic surgery. She served as the Director of Just, Equitable, Diverse and Inclusive Committee for the UMKC/Truman Orthopaedic Residency program for 3 years. While she enjoys being of service regionally, she has a passion for travel and learning about all cultures. Dr. Sinclair frequently participates in international service trips, which have included: India, Bhutan, Columbia, South Africa, and Honduras. Dr. Sinclair has recently joined Shriners Children’s Northern California as the Medical Director of Hand Surgery, which aligns with her values in its three-part mission of providing compassionate, innovative care, conducting research, and offering educational opportunities.


KEERAT SINGH, MD

Keerat Singh is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon practicing at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia.  He did his residency at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville and did 2 fellowships thereafter- one in trauma and one in adult reconstruction.  He enjoys medical education, and anything related to German shepherds.


SAM SMITH , MD

Dr. Smith earned a B.A. in Chemistry and attended medical school at University of Nebraska Medical Center. His Residency was University of Nebraska Medical Center and fellowships at the Spinal Cord Fellow Midwest Regional Spinal Cord Injury Care System Northwestern Memorial Hospital Chicago, Illinois and Spine Fellowship S. Henry LaRocca , M.D. New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Smith has earned multiple awards and honors from Regent’s Scholarship University of Nebraska Lincoln, Nebraska. His memberships include Fellow-American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Board Member & Past President-Colorado Orthopaedic Society,Member-Colorado Medical Society, and Member-Board of Front Range Orthopedic Surgery Center. Dr. Smith has also authored multiple publications in the area of orthopedic spine disorders, injuries, treatments.His group is committed to providing the highest quality professional and ethical care to all patients through integration of comprehensive education and exceptional musculoskeletal research.


STEPHEN THOMPSON, MD

Stephen Thompson, MD, MEd, FRCSC is the cooperating associate professor of sports medicine at the University of Maine and a sports medicine orthopaedic surgeon at Eastern Maine Medical Center.  He completed his bachelor’s degree in physiology and master’s degree in medical education at the University of Toronto.  He then traveled the world and ultimately graduated from Sydney Medical School with honors.  Dr. Thompson completed his residency in orthopaedics at the University of Maryland/R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Institute program.  He then completed his first sports medicine fellowship at the Fowler-Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic in London, Ontario and then his second at the Oakville Sports Injury Clinic in Oakville, Ontario. Dr. Thompson is a recognized expert in sports medicine.  He is the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the widely used and highly respected reference textbook DeLee and Drez’s Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.  Dr. Thompson has spent a significant time studying medical education and standardized testing.  He has applied this knowledge in his role as the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Miller’s Review of Orthopaedics, 6th edition as well as the 7th edition of Miller’s Review of Orthopaedics.  He has also written the Handbook of Splinting and Casting.  He is the co-founder and co-director of the Miller Review Course Part II:  Just In Case. Dr. Thompson’s clinical interests include shoulder instability and knee ligamentous injuries.  His research primarily focuses on anterior shoulder instability.


PETER S. VEZERIDIS, MD

Dr. Peter S. Vezeridis, MD is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon. He specializes in shoulder surgery and sports medicine. He has a particular expertise in complex shoulder surgery including anatomic and reverse shoulder replacements. A native of Rhode Island, Dr. Vezeridis attended Brown University where he obtained an Sc.B. degree with Honors and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then attended Brown Medical School. During medical school, Dr. Vezeridis was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to the Netherlands to perform orthopaedic basic science research. He was also a medical volunteer at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. Dr. Vezeridis completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program in Boston. He served as a Chief Resident in Orthopaedic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. After residency, Dr. Vezeridis completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. During fellowship, he was anassistant team physician for the New England Patriots, the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Bruins, and the New England Revolution. Following his Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery fellowship, Dr. Vezeridis completed a European traveling fellowship in advanced shoulder surgery. During this time, he learned from several of the world’s pre-eminent shoulder surgeons including Dr. Laurent Lafosse in Annecy, France, Dr. Gilles Walch in Lyon, France, and Dr. Christian Gerber in Zurich, Switzerland. Dr. Vezeridis wasalso awarded an AO Trauma Fellowship at the Charité Hospital in Berlin, Germany. Prior to joining Excel, Dr. Vezeridis was an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UCLA where he served as a team physician for several UCLA athletic teams. He currently serves as a faculty member for the San Diego Shoulder Course.


DAVID B. WEISS, MD

Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of VA Division and Head of Orthopaedic Trauma. After completing my orthopaedicresidency at University of Michigan and a trauma fellowship at Harborview Hospital in Seattle I spent the next 5 years as the Director of Orthopaedic Trauma at St Joseph Mercy Hospital, a level 2 trauma center in Ann Arbor, MI. Since June 2010 I have runthe Orthopaedic Trauma Division at the University of VA and have great passion for resident education which is manifest through multiple teaching courses with the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, the AO and the AAOS.


MICHELLE WOLCOTT, MD

Michelle Wolcott, MD is an Associate Professor and Sports Medicine fellowship-trained, board certified orthopaedic surgeon at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.  Her expertise is in the treatment of complex knee, ankle and shoulder problems.  Dr. Wolcott serves as team physician for the University of Colorado and University of Denver athletes, assistant team physician for the Denver Nuggets and is the head team physician for the Colorado Mammoth.  She is an active marathon runner and has a special interest in runner's injuries, pediatric sports medicine and women's sports medicine.  She participates in community education regarding prevention of injuries and proper training techniques.  She is dedicated to returning competitive and recreational athletes to their previous level of activity.


DAN ZLOTOLOW, MD

Dr. Zlotolow is a pediatric and adult upper limb and peripheral nerve surgeon specializing in the care of brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injuries, spinal cord injuries, spasticity due to stroke, brain injury, or cerebral palsy, complex post-traumatic deformities, congenital differences, arthrogryposis, and limb deficiencies. At HSS, he leads a team of the only fellowship-trained Pediatric Hand Surgeons in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Internationally, he leads medical outreach missions to Havana, Cuba and Kigali, Rwanda and has founded 3 professional societies including PlexusNexus and the Pediatric Hand International Society of Surgeons (PHISOS).  He travels nationally and internationally as a visiting professor and lecturer and has published extensively. He is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Hand Surgery, Managing Editor of www.LittleArms.org, Co-Editor of The Pediatric Upper Extremity textbook, Co-organizer of the Pediatric Upper Limb and Microsurgery (PULM) Lecture Series, and Emeritus Chief Editor of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand Hand-e educational platform. He was also a team leader for Zion, the first pediatric hand transplant. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he is also fluent in Spanish and travels routinely to Spain and Latin America to provide patient care and physician education. He has also traveled throughout Asia and Europe in search of new and innovative techniques, some of which he was the first to perform in the United States.
